Marianne Filaretou (also publishing as Candy Nevada, among other pseudonyms) works across works across writing, film, archival practice, radio, and environmental and wildlife-oriented projects.
She holds a BFA in Studio Art from New York University (2025), with a focus on printmaking and stop-motion animation. Her work is shaped by an ongoing interest in how media is handled, described, and circulated.
She currently produces and hosts radio at StationStation Radio (La Station – Gare des Mines), and has previously worked with Radio Free Brooklyn and WNYU. She is also beginning a role as a fiction reader at Philly Chapbook Review.
Her archival and editorial experience includes the Film Department at Museum of Modern Art, where she supported research, cataloguing, and publication materials. She has also worked at Spectacle Theater in Brooklyn, the Paris Theater,  the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and is currently involved in production and technical support for the EJC Foundation.
Additional work spans exhibition support, print and poster production, cinema operations, and archeological fieldwork with the University of Crete at Eleutherna.
