Carnival Time was a weekly radio show in which I along with guests played toypop, off-season carnival music, overlooked calypso, and repetitive melodies that had limited commercial appeal. I presented these selections in a straightforward manner, with no particular urgency, as if documenting a small corner of sound that continued to exist whether anyone noticed or not.
