La Station (Gare Des Mines) Radio Show Residency, SQUIK SQUIK
September 2025: I started a monthly radio show called Squik Squik, now part of the Station Station lineup in Paris. Each episode is an intimate interview with artists, painters, musicians whose work can’t quite fit in one box. It has toy-piano, strange echoes, dreamy strings, and pieces from real and imagined places, existing somewhere between wakefulness and sleep.
Interviews are unhurried and mostly practical, with music appearing in between segments of talking. I ask creative people about their favorite sound, repetition, dreams, unfulfilled aspirations, what is yet to come. Nothing is meant to be resolved, and the recording is left to sit as it is. Recently, I interviewed underground true artist and mysterious figure Princess Demeny. We talked about her early work, routines, New York Grief '86, films she directed and produced, dream logic, cats, life as a female in the creative industry.
